
Coláiste Cois Siúire opened in September 1993,replacing the old Vocational School, to meet the second level educational needs for the South Kilkenny areas of Mooncoin, Kilmacow, Mullinavat, Piltown and Templeorum. The school is a non-selective, non-denominational, co-educational school, which aims to promote the total development of each individual student. Coláiste Cois Siúire provides a broad comprehensive education to meet the needs of its students.

The School has a wide range of facilities including: Library, Science Laboratory and Demonstration Room, Business Studies and Computer Room, Technical Drawing Room, Wood Technology and Construction Studies Room, Metalwork and Engineering Room, Art and Crafts Room, Home Economics Room, General Purpose P.E. Area and Guidance Suite. Outdoors facilities include: 2 Basketball Courts, 2 Volleyball Courts, 2 Tennis Courts, and a full sized playing field.

Leaving Certificate Traditional | In addition to English, Gaeilge and Mathematics students study four additional subjects from: French, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Home Economics, Construction Studies, Engineering, Technical Drawing, Accounting, Art. Senior Students also take classes in Computer Skills, Guidance and Religion. |
Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) | This programme, in addition to the subjects chosen for the traditional Leaving Certificate, includes modules on Enterprise Education, Preparation for the World of Work and Information Technology. |
Post-Leaving Certificate Courses (PLC) | The School offers PLC courses in Secretarial Studies, Art and CraftsInterior Design. These courses are validated and certified by the Further Education and Training Award Council (FETAC). and |
