What is Youthreach

Youthreach is a Department of Education and Skills official education, training and work experience programme that gives a second chance to early school leavers aged 15 – 20.  It offers young people the opportunity to identify options within adult life, and provides them with opportunities to gain a qualification and become more confident. As it operates on a full-time, year-round basis, Youthreach has a continuous intake policy.


Who can join
  • People between 15 and 20 years
  • Have left school for at least 6 months
Courses Available
  • Leaving Certificate
  • Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA)
  • QQI Certification
  • Work experience is an important part of the courses available and operates at intervals throughout the year.
