VFM Funding Scheme for Youth Services

Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB) are inviting applications from youth services and related organisations to deliver services to young people aged 10-24 years in Tullow and environs in Co. Carlow.

The New Service will be funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs under the Value for Money and Policy Review New Sample Project 2017. The services will be targeted and specific to the needs of identified young people in the area.

The organisation should:
• Be experienced in working with teenagers and young adults with additional needs/ at risk characteristics, using a non- formal educational methodology
• Exemplify good practice in relation to programme design and delivery, governance and compliance
• Operate in an out-of-school setting
• Understand the needs of targeted young people, the issues affecting them and offer appropriate responses
